Tenisha Hamelin found her passion for dance at a young age while trying to imitate dancers from her mom’s studio. She competed with her first solo when she was fourteen months old, receiving her first of many “queen” awards. Around age 12, she began choreographing her own lyrical and jazz solos.


Tenisha has been teaching classes in jazz, lyrical, hip hop, ballet, pointe’, and gymnastics at Diva Dance Studio in Blackfoot, ID since 2008 and taught ballet and the competitive team at Dance Unlimited in Rigby, ID. She began teaching at Charisma dance in 2015. She has won many high point soloist awards, including the Joel Ferrell (Overall High-Point) award at the AAU Junior Olympics. She has choreographed many solo, duet, trio, and team dances, and won “best in choreography” at Onstage Dance Classic in 2010, and at multiple competitions from 2014-16.


In 2014, Tenisha graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor of the Arts in Dance. Her emphasis was in Dance Pedagogy with a focus on Ballet.
